We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Director to lead our organization into its next phase of growth and impact. Position Overview
The Executive Director will provide overall leadership and management of the organization. This role requires a steady hand to oversee day-to-day operations while empowering divisions to excel in their respective areas. The Executive Director will ensure high-functioning operations and customer service, maintain excellent stakeholder relationships, and drive the organization’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- General Oversight: Maintain awareness of the entire organization, allowing divisions to operate independently while staying informed and ready to step in when necessary. Ensure compliance with J-1 regulations and maintain necessary designations.
- Leadership: Serve as the primary decision-maker, working closely with the board to enhance current programs and develop new initiatives. Promote the organization externally and build relationships/network within the field of cultural exchange.
- Strategic Planning: Drive organizational development, including strategic planning, corporate structure, and policy compliance. Able to continuously leverage technology to innovate with recruiting and managing the business.
- Risk Management: Act as spokesperson for the organization, managing responses to critical situations and acting in the best interest of participants, the programs and the organization as a whole. Must be able to navigating regulatory compliance and establish/maintain strong ethical practices.
- Financial Oversight: Maintain fiscal oversight. Participate in budget creation and management, sign off on contracts, loans, and expenditures. Ensure proper audits are conducted and evaluate and ensure compliance with appropriate insurance policies for the organization.
- Human Resources: Oversee HR issues, manage contract agency relationships, and ensure compliance with insurance policies.
