The host company is located in San Diego, California. The host company is a healthcare SaaS company that has served hospitals worldwide for over thirty years. The company developed a leading therapeutic drug monitoring software for a model-based Bayesian precision dosing. Despite decades of experience in the healthcare industry, the office keeps its team agile and lean in a startup office environment.
Position Description:
The selected program participant will receive training as UI/UX Designer to drive customer experience through the formulation of our SaaS platform applications UI/UX strategy and designs. The participant will:
- Learn how to work with Product Management to define a UI/UX roadmap for all features and releases
- Manage UI/UX designs through the entire iterative product lifecycle including: ideation, design, implementation, and feedback
- Establish workflows and UI/UX designs based on best practices and frameworks to deliver customer-centric solutions
- Collaborate with the software engineer team to effectively plan and support the implementation of the design vision
- Participate in CAB, TAB, and UX user group sessions to gather critical customer feedback on our SaaS solutions across all phases of the customer journey
- Conduct user research in support of the roadmap to validate and refine with user-driven metrics
- Create sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, mockups, clickable prototypes, and design systems
- Facilitate project communication across a multidisciplinary team throughout all phases of the project
- Participate in team design presentations to end users and stakeholders, collect feedback, and make adjustments as necessary
- Test to ensure product aligns with the designs before live release
Applicant Qualifications:
- To apply for the Internship program, you must be an undergraduate student of Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Human Factors, Industrial Design OR a recent graduate starting the program within 12 months of graduation.
- To apply for the Trainee program, you must hold a bachelor’s degree in Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Human Factors, Industrial Design and at least 1 year of work experience OR be a career professional of 5 or more years in related field.
- Applicants must speak advanced English
- Solid understanding and foundation of design systems and the latest UI trends
- Creative problem solving skills with a passion for user-centered design
- Experience with tools like InVision, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar programs
- Strong communication skills to collaborate closely with sales team and developers through product lifecycle
- Prior experience working with SaaS products is a plus
