The host company is a family-owned business and a popular casual restaurant in Bar Harbor, Maine. Known for their fresh Maine lobster and the freshest lobster roll in Bar Harbor, the restaurant offers a wide range of dishes featuring healthy and fresh food, celebrating the bounty of Maine. The seafood are caught in the waters directly in front of the restaurant and other food includes organic meats, burgers, artisan pizzas, and more.

Position Description:

  • Learn all aspects of high volume food production and service
  • Assist in scheduling FOH employees and managing hours for the FOH employees
  • Learn and participate in weekly inventory counts and pricing techniques for new inventory
  • Learn to complete FOH purchase orders
  • Learn computer systems to be able to perform comps and voids for servers

Applicant Qualifications:

  • To apply for the Internship program, applicants must be hospitality, tourism or restaurant management undergraduate/graduate students OR a be recent graduates who begin program within 12 months of the graduation date
  • To apply for the Trainee program, applicants must hold hospitality, tourism or restaurant management  degrees and have least 1 year of professional work experience related to the degree, OR be career professionals of 5 or more years of professional experience in this field
  • Some hospitality work experience is preferred
  • Advanced English is required
  • Willingness to learn and develop leadership skills
