Host Company Description:
The host company is a full-service, neighborhood restaurant serving delicious Italian food in Baltimore, MD. It provides in-house services as well as a wide range of carryout and catering. The dishes are prepared fresh, featuring local flavors; their menu has a wide selection of seafood, meat, pasta, and desserts. Program participants will learn front and back of house operations, floor manager duties, and develop leadership skills.
Position Description:
- Learn supervision methods and coordination of the front of house team
- Assist in front of the house and back of the house duties
- Communication with guests, coordinating guest services
- Advance management skills and supervisory duties
Applicant Qualifications:
- To apply for the Internship program, applicants must be hospitality, tourism or restaurant management undergraduate/graduate students OR be recent graduates who begin program within 12 months of the graduation date
- To apply for the Trainee program, applicants must hold hospitality, tourism or restaurant management degrees and have least 1 year of professional work experience related to the degree, OR be career professionals of 5 or more years in this field
- Some hospitality and guest service work experience is preferred
- Advanced English is required
- Must be able to work within a team, have a passion for cooking and serving customers, have a positive attitude, willing to continue to learn new culinary methods
